I Need your VOTE JUNE 22, 2010 in the Republican Primary

My name is Britt Blackwell. I was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina and graduated from Northwestern High School in 1974. I received a B.S. degree from Clemson University in 1978. I graduated from the School of Optometry, The Medical Center, at the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1985 with a Doctor of Optometry degree. My practice is Blackwell Eye Associates, P.A. on Ebenezer Road. My Wife, Martha Goforth Blackwell is also a native of Rock Hill and Northwestern High & Winthrop University graduate.

We have two (2) Children: Christina, a senior nursing student at Medical University of South Carolina, where she is President of her class and Vice President of the student body, My son, Phillip, is a Junior at South Pointe High School. I served on the Rock Hill School Board from 1994 – 2002. I also served on the Executive Council of the South Carolina Optometric Physician Association for three years. I presently serve as the District 16 representative of the South Carolina Board of Education where I am Chairman of the Finance and Innovation Committee. My four year term ends December 31st, 2010.

I was one of the first three Optometrists in the nation to be certified as a Level 5 Certified Medical Investigator, the highest level possible, by the American College of Forensic Examiners.
